Apple Sued For Web Surfing Ability Of iPhone

Most people would agree that the mobile Safari web browser on the iPhone is the most optimal way of surfing the Internet on-the-go to date, as multi-touch technology makes the entire experience a snap, while its integrated Google search box helps us retrieve results faster with lightning fast rendering being the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, EMG Technology LLC has just filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging that the Cupertino company infringed upon patents filed by Los Angeles real estate developer Elliot Gottfurcht and his two co-inventors.

According to the suit, the technology in the iPhone that helps it navigate and display some websites intended for viewing on small phone screens infringes a patent that Gottfurcht and his co-inventors obtained last month. It should be noted however, that HTC, RIM, and practically every mobile phone manufacturer of the last five years at least, have been churning out handsets that are capable of displaying the Web on small screens, but the suit is only gunning against Apple.

How do you think all of this will turn out? After all, the iPhone is already more than a year old while the patent that it allegedly infringes was granted just last month.

Trekkies who can't wait for the upcoming Star Trek movie might want to check out the Daybed - a chair designed by Manuelsaez that aims to provide users with the right posture when reading or doing work. Gran Turismo: PSP In The Works

Four years have passed since whispers of Gran Turismo: PSP were bandied about, and there is still not such game in sight to date. In an interview with IGN, Kazunori Yamauchi, Polyphony Digital CEO, tells otherwise as he insisted that GT: PSP is in the pipeline. Perhaps this could mean a title for the next generation PSP? After all, Gran Turismo titles have long been associated with flagship titles on different PlayStation consoles in the past, so to do so for the PSP so late into its life cycle doesn't seem to make much sense. Ah well, weirder things have happened in the past, but it would be interesting to see whether Sony will roll out a next-gen PSP soon.

Co-Robot Is Cheap And Good
